[ ABOUT DATAKITS ]

[READS: DATAKITS are a manmade species of mustelid that can take electronic form and insert themselves into computers + onto the internet! Datakits have LED screens for masks, where their eyes show up. They often have robotic and/or electronic parts alongside their fur. Being digital creatures, Datakits lack blood/organs and are made up entirely of energy and electricity!]

[ OBTAINING A DATAKIT ]

To partake in Datakits, you must join the discord server!Upon joining the server, A FTO (First Time Owner) of a Datakit has the ability to make a freebie. This free datakit will be able to have unlimited common traits and up to 3 uncommon traits!After creating your freebie, there are multiple ways to acquire datakits.- Purchasing a circuit (MYO slot) & additional trait items, using either USD or our own currency, known as Bytes! Bytes can be obtained via drawing Datakits - more on this can be found in the discord server-From design batches by Admins and Mods-Through events hosted within the Discord server

[ SPECIES RULES ]

OWNERSHIP AND RESALE

1: Datakits are not an open species. You must be part of our discord server or otherwise in contact with a staff member to create datakits and earn currency! Disclaimer: We do not own the concept of ferrets with webcore/technology inspiration. We will not go after people with characters similar to the concept of datakits! However, we ask you do not use the name "Datakit" for your character's species unless you are part of the species.2: First-time owners can make one datakit with unlimited common traits and up to 3 uncommon traits. Rare traits aren't available on free MYOs without purchasing or otherwise obtaining the item(s) needed to add rare traits.3: Extra MYO slots and traits must be purchased either with real money or with earned digital currency!4: Adopts can only be made and sold by mods, admins, and guest artists.5: There is not currently a set worth to be listed on datakits, HOWEVER there are some restrictions to resale: Free MYOs cannot be sold until at least a month after they've been created. Adopts, customs, etc. can be resold after two weeks.6: If selling a datakit that is a CBC, you MUST state that the datakit is a CBC and state what the datakit is a CBC of.7: If issues arise, we may implement set worth in the species in the future.8: You may only trade/sell datakits within the server using the data-transfer channel. This is to prevent scams and potential trading of unofficial datakits. Any traded datakits MUST be on the masterlist in order to be traded. If you wish to forfeit your datakit if you want to no longer be associated, you may choose to void them or raffle off your datakit.

CREATING YOUR DATAKIT

1: Offensive imagery is strictly forbidden within the species.2: CBCs are permitted, but there are exceptions with certain media. You can find a list of such here. Please do not bother admins about this, or ask for specifics on why. Users found sneakily making blacklisted CBCs will be permabanned and blacklisted from the species.
3: Multiple CBCs of the same character is allowed, as long as they're not too similar to each other.
4: There is an upper limit of 5 uncommon traits and 2 rare traits on each datakit MYO. To remove this limit, you must obtain the floppy disk item.5: Your datakit will not be considered official until it is uploaded to the masterlist.

BEHAVIOUR

1: The staff team of the species (Datakings, Service Providers, Wranglers, and Pixel Killers) retains the right to blacklist users found to be partaking in actions that are found morally objectionable - this includes endorsement of "proshipping" and bigotry, as well as targeted harassment of users within or outside of the species.2: Should an issue with a user arise, please contact one of the admins first and foremost with clear and easy to understand concerns, and further action will be decided from there.3: Datakits under the ownership of blacklisted users will be voided. Voided datakits under new ownership may be reinstated as long as the owner is not blacklisted. To void datakits on your own, please contact a Dataking (owner), Datakit Service Provider (admin), or Datakit Wrangler.
